Hi Randy, the results of this didn't really shock me it's pretty much what I expected, we all have to make the time to impliment every strategy to pomote our products and follow the advice of those that use the systems to effect on a daily basis.

Great Content as ever!
Cheers

Thanks Randy, (and Soren for the survey), a great insight into the IM world, I think I actually took part in the survey but forgot to check the results.... too busy with all the other distractions that keep sidetracking me away from product creation and list building.

I can confirm that giving products away helps with list building, but it is important to learn how to get people to trust you after you build a list and in this, listening to experienced people like yourself, Soren and Mike among others, helps tremendously.

I don't always follow what I know is good advice, sometimes I'm busy (or lazy) and end up sending too many affiliate product emails (which are ok if done in the right way but not just with one hit and expecting action, unless it's a stupendously good offer!). I always regret it as it turns subscribers off if all you send is offer after offer. People want to know they're getting value (not always freebies, good advice is hugely important).

Anyway my thanks for all the great advice and help I get through your blog and list (and More Monthly, great value).

Cheers

Hi Georjina,

All I can say is that the reason there are so many giving something for nothing is because it works....

When people don't know you - you need to give a very good reason for them to trust you with their email address - once you have it - it's then up to you to ensure they want to stay on your list by providing value to them ... and sure enough - when you have that trust they will buy from your recommendations...

But it all starts with getting them to trust you with that email.

:)

I'm most interested in building an effective squeeze page and converting them! The ones I used got clicks, bogus signups and please, don't tell me to give them 'something for nothing' because there's too many of those out there.
