A happy (if belated) Fathers Day to all you Fathers out there.
I’ve been away camping at a festival this weekend so I’ve not had a chance to post anything.
That said – here is a link to some poems I did for my Dad. The one simply entitled Father - would fit for most Dads I believe.

Anyway – I hope you had a good one, and I hope you told your Dad you love him.
I got cards and text messages, as well as posts on social sites… The wonders of technology …lol
I’m not sure whether my Dad would have appreciated a wall post instead of a card, but it sure saves time in our busy world!
(Is that a good thing or a bad thing?… My thoughts are that it can be great for sending pictures, videos etc. – But I’d bet most Dads would rather see their children in the flesh where ever possible?)

And hey – who said you have to just pass on some love one day a year?

So yeah –  Here’s to a great day for Dads every day, with heaps of love coming from all sides to make every day fantastic.
(and for Mums, Brothers, Sisters, Friends and all your families too!)

Not forgetting Fiancees too – Happy Birthday Rachel for Tomorrow
(She’s catching me up now….lol)

* Time Off Online Really Isn’t!

Well I’ve just had a long weekend off (supposedly), which is one the the reasons a lot of people want to ‘make money online’!
However – considering I was supposed to be off from Thursday to Monday, I don’t think Rachel was too amused at how many time I was popping home or checking my iPhone!!!

I have to admit I love not having a boss or having to get up at specific time to go somewhere to exchange time for money. In fact – before this sounds like a gripe or moan, I have to say I absolutely love my life, and that’s largely down to making enough online to never have to answer to anyone else!

BUT….
I still have myself to answer to, and that means I have subscribers and customers to answer to – So it’s NOT simply a case of booking time off as you would with an employer.

The beauty of the internet is that it’s a 24/7 world of trade.
You literally can make money while you sleep! – I know, I do it most every night…. and that is fantastic. It really is a wonderful feeling to wake up and login to find more funds in various accounts, more affiliate sales, more products sales etc.

But that also means that there are support tickets to answer 24/7 too!
And it’s amazing how people in the offline world will pop back to the store to ask about their latest purchase, as and when the store is open!
They never complain that they discovered they couldn’t program the new TV at 3am when they wanted to and the store owner wasn’t around… They simply pop back during ‘business hours’ and ask about it then…..
But in the online world – they will send a ticket with their challenges at 3am and then start following up by 5 am if they haven’t had a reply!

Hey – not everyone does this and it is an extreme example, most will happily wait 24 hours understanding that people are on different time zones around the world!. In fact it’s usually the ‘newbies’ who believe they should have had an answer within an hour regardless….lol

But what does that mean to your online efforts?
You could chose to check tickets once a day and that would be fine in most cases.
However, when you have a service orientated product (like I do with http://www.WizardResponder.com ), I feel a moral obligation to be there 24/7 for our customers. (and we do try our best).

This is really the time we should have more outsourcers to answer tickets for us, that’s what the gurus do isn’t it?
But quite honestly – engaging with customers and subscribers who go on to become friends , is the part of the ‘job’ I love the most! So I’m loathe to outsource it at all!
I’m happy enough getting articles written, scripts installed, graphics created etc. – But when it comes to talking (or writing) to my friends – I want to keep doing that regardless of how busy I get! (is that a bad thing??)

I suppose the lesson here is to think long term – who do you want doing what in your business?….. Plan ahead and decide in advance, especially if you plan to take time out…lol

OH well – the result of not wanting to outsource personal contact is that I have had a few interruptions (especially while we moved WizardResponder to a bigger and better dedicated server over the weekend!), and that has lead to me falling behind on my own ‘to do’ list.
But I have finally caught up – just a couple of days later than usual I’ve added next months downloads to www.MoreMonthly.com

I’ve also had to make a decision that I would rather not have.
As for the end of July – the 300 plus products in the previous download area will be removed!
I just can’t justify keeping them up and paying for a separate server whilst keeping the membership price so low. Therefore in future there will always be a rolling 3 months of products to give members plenty of time to grab what they want and need. But with each new months worth of product added – the products from 4 months ago will be removed.

(Hint – get in now and grab as much as you can!) …lol

Anyway – Back to my usual rambles….
Naturally I’ve not had time to check all the latest releases over the last few days – so I wont be promoting them just for the sake of it!

I can tell you that I’m privy to a great one coming on the 7th, from a very trusted source, and it’s one you wont find a lot of people jumping on the bandwagon and pitching…. because this will be a genuine retirement sale from a good friend who has finally decided to slow things down with his online activities.
